Our Engineering Plastics Division offers a vast range of materials for use in a wide range of applications and industries. We carry
comprehensive stocks in bar, sheet and tube form that can be supplied cut to size ready for machining. We pride ourselves on product
availability, with many of our clients operating JIT systems it is paramount that we can respond effectively to the industry's exacting

ACETAL COPOLYMER []

ACETAL COPOLYMER - Low moisture absorption.

NYLON 6, NYLON 66, NYLON GX, NYLON GF (EXTRUDED) []

NYLON 6 (EXTRUDED) - has better impact strength and mechanical dampening than 66 & GX.

NYLON 66 (EXTRUDED) - PA66 has higher tensile strength, stiffness, creep resistance, better wear and temperature resistance than
PA6.

NYLON GX (EXTRUDED) - PAGX has better friction coefficient UV resistance and wear resistance than PA66.

NYLON 6, 66, GX, GF (EXTRUDED) - PAGF (20% Glass) has lower water absorption, better hardness, stiffness and dimensional stability
and higher temp resistance than the other nylons in this group but poorer friction coefficient.

NYLON 6, 66, GX, GF (EXTRUDED) - Gears, bearings, pulleys, wheels.
POLYETHERSULPHONE (PES)

POLYETHERSULPHONE(PES) - High temperature resistance (+180°c continuous).

POLYETHERSULPHONE(PES) - Good mechanical performance at high temps.
-
POLYETHERSULPHONE(PES) - Good creep resistance over a wide temp range.

POLYETHERSULPHONE(PES) - Excellent hydrolysis resistance.

POLYETHERSULPHONE(PES) - Physiologically inert (suitable for food contact).

POLYETHERSULPHONE(PES) - Good electrical insulating and dielectric properties.

POLYETHERSULPHONE(PES) - Very good high energy radiation resistance.

PEEK

PEEK - High operating temperature (+250°c continuous).

PEEK - High mechanical strength and hardness.

PEEK - Good creep resistance, even at high temperature.

PEEK - Very good resistance to hydrolysis.

PEEK - Excellent chemical resistance.

PEEK - Exceptional resistance to high energy radiation

PEEK - Glass additives improve stiffness and strength and gives improved creep properties at high temperature.

CAST NYLON []

CAST NYLON - PA6G (Nat) properties are better than PA6 extruded and similar to PA66.
-
CAST NYLON - PA6G-HR (Black) is UV resistant and tougher than PA6G and PA6-OIL. Its friction coefficient is better than 6G but not
as good as 6G-OIL.

CAST NYLON - PA6G-OIL (Orange) has the lowest friction coefficient of all our nylons and very low moisture absorption. Excellent
as a bearing material and for gears, rollers, wheels, bushes.
NYLON 11
-
NYLON 11 - Very low moisture absorption means that it is more stable than PA6/66/GX.
-
NYLON 11 - Lower mechanical strength, stiffness and wear than PA6/66/GX but better impact strength.
-
NYLON 11 - Approved for use with foodstuffs.

NYLON 11 - Excellent electrical insulation properties.
PPOm NORYL®
-
PPOm NORYL® - Very good electrical insulation properties.
-
PPOm NORYL® - Low moisture absorption.
-
PPOm NORYL® - Good heat resistance.
-
PPOm NORYL® - Good tensile and impact strength.
-
PPOm NORYL® - Applications include: electronics, business machines.
PTFE []
-
PTFE - Excellent resistance to most chemicals and solvents.
-
PTFE - Lowest coefficient of friction of any solid plastic.
-
PTFE - Excellent temperature range (-200°c to +250°c).
-
PTFE - Non flammable.
-
PTFE - Excellent dielectric properties.
-
PTFE - Virgin PTFE is FDA approved fro use with foodstuffs.
-
PTFE - Poor dimensional stability.
-
PTFE - Additives such as glass, carbon, bronze etc. will offer improved wear, hardness, reduced creep, improved thermal conductivity.
